Here’s a simple schematic of rat repeller circuit from an electronic magazine that I have. It uses 2 555 timers. IC1 acts as a low frequency oscillator and IC2 acts like a voltage controlled oscillator.
Simulation
basically it only sweeps the frequency slowly. There are 2 controls, sweep – controls the speed of the frequency sweep. and controls set the center frequency of the sweep.
